Bottom Line:
The PowerSmart PS46 is a smaller conventional generator for a decent price. This portable unit will appeal to a wide range of potential buyers who want a 5,000-watt generator but don't want to carry anything big or heavy. The engine is a 292cc 4-stroke single cylinder, which makes it very easy to operate and maintain. The fuel tank holds 7.4 gallons of gasoline, and the generator runs for up to 10 hours on a full tank (at 50% load). The noise level is 74 dB(A), which is quite loud but not too disruptive. The generator also comes with a 2-year limited warranty.
